I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Company has tremendous growth potential. Benefits are standard ok, tuition reimbursement. Pretty friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Very old school management style. Average age of supervisors is about 60 and not very in touch with current management styles and practices. Most have only worked for Fisher their whole career. It is a "stay in your seat" mentality and sometimes you're treated like children.

Current Employee - Supervisor in Fremont, CA

I have been working at Thermo Fisher Scientific full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Normally pretty steady with no layoff until last month.
They are preparing for a new building to be constructed in Fremont

    Cons

They have not learned how to value their people. They have a really high turn over because there pay is low. They loose great people because they are too cheap to give them what they are worth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your people and pay then what they are worth. If you pay your people well they will be higher performers, more dedicated and happier employee. Too many people are looking or already have one foot out the door
