I worked at Thompson Creek Window Co.

Pros

The people you work with on a day to day basis are fun individuals and are very supportive of your ability to succeed. The pay is excellent for an hourly job with no education requirements, $13/hr + $50 bonus for every lead set. On average for working about five days a week, you clear $900 after taxes. They pick you up for thunderstorms, bathroom breaks, and provide all the training and methodology you need to excel.

Cons

The job is mentally and physically challenging. Often times, homeowners are rude, angry, and incredibly frustrating. The hardest part is keeping a good positive outlook and being pleasantly persistent in all weather conditions and homeowner situations. If you can push through and set appointments you will do fine.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management seems to do a fairly good job. They provide bonus contests for canvass employees such as free Redskins Tickets in the company suite at FedEx field, free U2 tickets, and $500 cash bonuses. More programs such as these are advised.
