    I worked at Thompson Hotels full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    The luxury of working for a botique brand is you are able to affect change. Senior leadership is very accessible- truly an open door policy.

    Cons

    The company is still young and in growth mode. Stronger SOP's would make the sales team more successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Since I have left there has been more structure put in place which is a wonderful thing. My suggestion is to keep on this path.

    - Awesome coworkers

    - Undelivered promises
    - Cronyism
    - Low hourly wage compared to industry average
    - Poor management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Review your corporate values you preach and actually execute them not just to hotel guests but as well to the staff.

    If the staff is happy the guests will be happy. Management tends to forget how guest satisfaction is dependent on employee satisfaction.
