I worked at Thomson Reuters full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Company (especially ex-Reuters) of great value, culture and brand. Very diversified, true global operation, nice and ethical people and management. Large porfolio with some very good product. Nice work life balance although pay is average.

Cons

Wrong leadership at ex Reuters pior to and post acquisition by Thomson. New management is trying to fix it but lilely is throwing baby out with the water...

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Simplify admin process, introduce a stronger performance-base culture at all corners of the organisations, reward high performers.

I have been working at Thomson Reuters

    Pros

    Great Culture
    Great work life Balance

    Cons

High number of acquisitions have led to complex structures within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more aggressive with implementing innovative ideas and not just planning for it. TR has great products. But these wont stand a chance in the coming 5 years where the likes of big startups are coming up with fancy next generation (tablets) products.
