I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (more than an year)

Pros

I found they were good to their employees. My managers were competent and very good people to work alongside. I worked Westlaw Court Express, which is a part of Thomson Reuters. This is a great entry-level position for recent graduates.

Cons

High turnover rate. There is not a lot of upward mobility within the Westlaw corporation. There is always a push for more work from less people which causes errors within the research.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a balance of orders per person and let this be the standard instead of pushing for more constantly.

I have been working at Thomson Reuters full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Management is outstanding. Lots of freedom to establish work / life balance. Fantastic reputation in the market. Great products to sell. Need to be proactive in meeting management to establish rapport early. For the most part - smart and proactive coworkers.

    Cons

Very difficult to continue your growth once you reach a certain threshold. If you are okay staying in a position long term you can establish a career with good pay, solid benefits and nice work/life balance. Very tough for people who would like to continue to grow and challenge themselves. Compensation plans always changing. Very difficult to make your months if you aren't given a prime territory (which are given to the most senior reps). The job can be very tedious and repetitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work with your employees to develop a career path - be realistic. Not everyone wants to make a career out of phone sales. Aside from that, continue support and avoid micro-managing. Have had a great experience just wish there were more opportunities to grow.
