Former Employee - Project Manager  in  Eagan, MN
Former Employee - Project Manager in Eagan, MN

I worked at Thomson Reuters full-time for more than a year

Pros

Bright, intelligent, well educated co-workers. The recently redecorated areas of the building are visually stunning. The good managers are some of the best you will ever work for. Coffee shop, bank, 2 cafeterias onsite.

Cons

Lots of management reorganization and belt tightening over the past 4 years. TR considers itself a middle of the road payer which in reality translates to pay being on the low side. And this leads to a fair amount of turnover in certain positions. Parking lots are huge and even with the shuttle bus it will add 10-15 minutes to your day unless you arrive very early.

Current Employee - Technology Intern in Eagan, MN

I have been working at Thomson Reuters as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great work/life balance, good benefits. Smart and capable co-workers.

    Cons

Not much investment and employee incentive to progress in R&D and innovation (though there have been recent efforts to change this). Slow promotion rates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More should be done to increase recruiting efforts on college campuses. There are many qualified candidates who would love working here that do not have the knowledge and awareness of the company and its vast internship program.
