A good alternative for those who do not want to practice law

Senior Team Lead (Current Employee) Eagan, MN

ProsThe level of professionalism among the employees is quite high, especially among those with law degrees who are choosing a different career path. The company offers a number of interesting jobs that allow someone with a legal education to leverage their degree and experience in new and exciting ways while still working within the legal community.

ConsThe tenor of the company has changed greatly in the last few years, largely since being acquired by Thomson. An increased focus on metrics-driven leadership has eroded the level of collaboration among departments, because everyone is spending too much time justifying their own existence rather than finding ways to work together.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf customers truly are at the heart of everything, then align your resources in such a fashion. Put your people in front of those customers instead of creating such a high level of organizational and operational complexity that their needs are never truly met.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
