Pros

Great brand, and some really good people work here

Cons

Any pay awards have been few and far between, and the management sometimes appear a bit 'lost' in knowing how to start increasing profits again.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Whilst retailers are in a difficult position, closing stores is not always the best way forward to long term success. It may be better to consider Thorntons 'traditional' history and make more use of this, as well as looking to improve packaging quality and increase the level of in-store theatre.
Investment now is also a key factor to a future success - you only have to look 'under the skin' at the successful retailers out there in the current climate.....
