I worked at ThyssenKrupp

Pros

Job Security is probably good
Typical manufacturing work culture, not very stressful
Company has good facilities
Five day work week

Cons

Not many chances for advancement
Not very supportive management
Overall growth is very slow and limited
Even after 5 day week you will end up working 6 many times

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to have some good and skilled managers who will treat employees well
The canteen facility really sucks
Should be supportive to employees

    Pros

Friendly working atmosphere. German is an absolute necessity. Regular working hours. Competitive pay, professional working environment and a great and very recent corporate headquarter in the center of Essen.

    Cons

Very formal dresscode except for Fridays. Men wear dark suits and ties exclusively while women have a somewhat greater liberty. Yet, dressing up is the widely respected company standard.

I have been working at ThyssenKrupp full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay is good. But they ask you to work more then 50 hours a week. They have fun people to work with.

    Cons

No training provided. On the job learn as you go. You have little in terms of expectations which makes it difficult to actually do the job.
