Current Employee - NPE Engineer in Pelham, NY

I have been working at Tiffany & Co. full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Historical aspect, brand recognition, worldwide expansion created dynamic culture that accepts change

    Cons

Some VP level members are unfit for the position and drive the business results down. In Manufacturing employees are not trusted, often falsely accused of being a direct cause of poor results where nothing is done to improve morale, improve the work flow and systems from practical perspective. A lot of abstract theory is chewed at each meeting, people leave with no concrete action plans. VP is extremely poor communicator, uses divide and conquer method to control people, treats people like numbers, very low morale at manufacturing locations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look beyond the employee survey, don't dismiss direct employee feedback, look into operational side with a fine toothed comb. There is a lot of money foolishly wasted both in manufacturing and product development side.
