I have been working at TigerDirect Canada full-time (less than an year)

Pros

None unless you are a crook and don't mind ripping off customers.

Cons

The whole place is riddled with crooks, this comes from the very top in Miami to all the managers. It seem if you get a Manager thats good and honest they don't last. Managers always talking about how the other store managers manipulate sales to make their goals. They suck up to upper management even though they hate them just to keep their job. They will throw anyone under the bus to save themselves. Take a look at the jobs always advertised, they cannot keep anyone. They do not care about the customer only how much junk you can sell them, and when it comes time to help they customer you are told not to until it escalates then you are the one in trouble. They change the rules every day so you really never know what your doing. Yesterday it was okay but today it's not. Morale sucks as you are always being threatend with your job even though they do not have the product advertised.

You know where the problem lies, stop sweeping it under the rug and make changes to improve your company.

    I have been working at TigerDirect Canada full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    High commission potental, Internal CRM system, lots of leads, fun environment, freindly people, perks and contests, if you have skills you will fit right in

    Cons

    LOW BASE, too much micromanagement if you happen to not be selling enough, you need to put in a lot of time and effort to make top money, dont get on your mangers bad side, too many network issues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up with perks. Trust your employees. An email is just as good as a call! More communication to your employees about decisions that affect them would be great.

    I worked at TigerDirect Canada part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    can make alot of money if your selling this only happens during winter season
    good employees to work with

    Cons

    your told to harass customers constantly bugging them if not you are in trouble
    sell sell sell square trade
    sometimes given unrealistic goals like sell $3000 in a 4 hour shift on a slow day
    G-tickets each sale you make you need to get customer name,address,number and email or else your commission does not count. Personally I find this way to evasive. I've had alot of my sales disqualified for this reason did not get all infomation then I got told i'm not performing well

    avoid micromanaging for every little thing rules for g-tickets are way to excessive
