Pros

Opportunity to:
-- Work on a global brand with lots of consumer appeal
-- Take on big projects from start to finish with limited oversight
-- Live in Seacoast NH (near Boston, the mountains, universities)
-- Balance work & life (true for most, but not all jobs here)

Cons

-- Salaries are low (even by NH standards)
-- Limited upward mobility

I worked at Timberland part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Paid community service, 20 hrs for part timers and 40 for full timers. Vacation accrual for part and full time employees. Great discount on products, and free products to wear for work.

    Cons

Increased pressure on individual numbers when not commission based. Hours cut drastically for everyone but management. Management pressuring people to come in no matter what, even when severely sick. Almost no opportunity to advance within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees like more than just selling machines. (retail stores, not necessarily corporate)

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Timberland full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Had decent benefits and culture, but is all changing.

    Cons

Too much change at once. Too many tasks to worker ratio.
