I worked at Time full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great brands, good benefits -- had potential.

    Cons

Behind the times in nearly everything digital and it takes years (100 levels of approval and several new "Heads" of the business) to make any real changes. They focus too much on saving money than anything innovative, including their management style. By far the worst managers I've ever encountered in my career. I have never been more disappointed to work for a company that had so much potential and great history.

    Advice to Management

Implement some real management training, listen to your employees and encourage them to actually grow (vs. throwing an inflated title at them and hoping it will just organically happen). Instead of spending all this time "finding digital talent" only to force them into your archaic ways, and then penalizing them for thinking "outside the box," start from the bottom and work your way up. You're not ready for the big leagues.
