I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Stable company, good benefits, decent distribution of work and organizational structure.

Cons

Prior to their massive 'regionalization' merging, Time Warner Cable divisions were largely independently run, and had a lot more innovation, creative, and drive to deliver new products. Also, now the benefit programs and employee reward systems have been taken over by corporate - making them watered down and not as good.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less regionalization, more independent fostering of innovation and creativity. Stagnation and complacency is going to kill you.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Pay potential, great benefits..... free lunches for holidays and some weekends.

    Cons

Metric driven, no control of the quality of calls you receive (example; if service outage occurs you can get angry customer calls unwilling to start a sales conversation) Sales cancelled and reentered by other employees, Original employee has to dispute which makes it impossible to be certain you are actually receiving the disputed pay at any point.. Employees are here one day, out the door the next day. Environment breeds dishonest practices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer current customers better rates for loyalty 3+ years with service, invest more in existing employees instead of processing new employees. Offer better commission options and actually terminate people who cancel and re enter other peoples sales.
