Pros

Time Warner compensates its employees quite well. Those living within its service footprint are given complimentary television and internet service, and discounted home phone service. The company match on the 401K is nice. The company has a decent employee purchasing plan with discounts from a wide variety of partners.

Cons

TWC suffers from Information Silo Syndrome. An employee is given the tools to perform his or her own job, although cross training in some departments is non-existent. Slow to adopt new technology. This isn't true for every department in every city of course. TWC being such a huge company, there are bound to be differences in the way things are run on the ground from place to place and from department to department.

Advice to Management

Just the standard advice to give an ear to the opinions of "lower management" when it comes to implementing the company's directives.

    Pros

Great Benefits, Small company if working for call center , also depends where u live.

    Cons

Instead of encouraging us as employees , we were constantly talked down to when being coached instead of hearing how we can improve , we would always get negative feedback, Supervisors aways talk about the agents behind their back, Always forced to sell even on the hardest repair call, sales must be met.

    Advice to Management

Encourage your workers more, Advise of mistakes, then advise what can be done to improve and expand upon the things that they are doing right. Too much pressure on sales can mean too much pressure on agent = no motivation; =50% dissatified customers = dropping company for competitor

  2. Decent job for college students

    Pros

Fun contests at work, personable supervisors, fun teams.

    Cons

If you're in a sales position, you're only as good as your best day. Policies are strict and you will be terminated for low production regardless of previous results.

    Advice to Management

Lighten up on policies such as occurrences modify your correctional policies when it comes to sales results.
