I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Dedicated professionals who really wanted to move the business forward. Deep subject matter expertise for DOCSIS systems. Very approachable management. Excellent benefits (including defined- benefit pension).

    Cons

Immature operationally. Relied very heavily on individual heroics; was very difficult to achieve strategic wins because was always reacting to the next alarm or executive fiat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'll leave the advice to Comcast.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits. Decent pay. Great incentives.

    Cons

Imagine your Grandmother's cable bill goes up by $20 and she can no longer afford it. She calls in seeking help. The rep on the other end of the phone is paid to increase that bill even more if they want a nice commission check. If you enjoy lying to and cheating people you might enjoy this position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You'll sleep much easier at night when you quit working for this company.
