I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Dedicated professionals who really wanted to move the business forward. Deep subject matter expertise for DOCSIS systems. Very approachable management. Excellent benefits (including defined- benefit pension).

Cons

Immature operationally. Relied very heavily on individual heroics; was very difficult to achieve strategic wins because was always reacting to the next alarm or executive fiat.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'll leave the advice to Comcast.

I have been working at Time Warner Cable full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay, laid back yet responsible supervisors, personal desk space and internet access, strong support of all employees. Health benefits are amazing, paying around 30$ a month. The advancement opportunities are always there and you can move anywhere you would like. The free internet and TV is also amazing. They also give 5200$ toward schooling and certifications. Certifications also give anywhere from a 50 cent raise to 1 dollar. Annual raises are a percent scale from 1%-5%.

    Cons

It IS a call center. Some people just are not able to thrive. Also, you almost always start out as customer facing. The company does a fantastic job of supporting agents but they can't take the calls for you. If you can't handle speaking with angry people, this isn't a place to work.
