A bit stifling, and don't expect to get ahead without lots of sucking up.

Editor (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsI had a very good insurance plan and a good amount of vacation days.

ConsThere is a lack of communication between higher ups and senior management, so things get lost in translation to the rest of the team, therefore wasting time, effort and money. Some of the higher up editors (above senior level) have been their forever and don't seem to be afraid of losing jobs. This level of management has very stale ideas, and without a doubt, heavily sides with those who suck up to and 'yes' all of their ideas. It is held against you if you disagree, you can see it in the treatment of people who do.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe higher ups, ie executive editors, etc could really do with some new blood. And less sucking up to them, would create a much more comfortable environment. You can see that the senior editors don't need to be sucked up to, but for some reason their bosses do. It's tiring and gets old.

Working at Time Warner has been very good. Great company with awesome benefits.

Advertising Account Executive (Current Employee) El Paso, TX

I have been working at Time Warner

Pros: Security to work for a big company and awesome benefits. Cons: They cap your earnings and punish overachievers for selling over… Advice to Senior Management: You should reward overachievers instead of caping their income potencial. Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

Good work environment only if you are the boss' pet or kiss up to management

Producer (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Time Warner

Pros: Good benefits and pay commensurate with experience. Cons: Skill and competency have no bearing on promotions, if you dont kiss up… Advice to Senior Management: Get rid of the old boys club and expand to… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
