Pros
Professional growth and advancement opportunities are available to energetic, agressive, intelligent people. If you don't posses all three you will likely be sidelined.
Cons
The see working long as working hard. The more time you spend in the office, work from home, and work during vacation, the better employee you are and the more opportunities you will be given. Most GM's, Directors, VP's, all put in 60 hours per week
Advice to Senior Management
Really focus on the younger talented people - and develop them. Working long is not neccesarily working better.
