Pros

Toll gives a great amount of responsibility

Cons

No training, no culture, very political, little opportunity for advancement.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should take the view employees will be the future of the company...not just slaves for the present.

    Pros

    Compensation is adequate. Exposure to the world of home building is good.

    Cons

    Inspiration and the authority to do one's job is hard to come by. It's a fairly autocratic organization.

    I worked at Toll Brothers full-time

    Pros

    Exposure to all aspects of homebuilding.

    Cons

    Poor communication between land acquisition, land developement and operations. Lack of training/ mentoring, "sink or swim culture". Division Presidents/ senior managers are not held accountable for the development and training of their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider the addition of 360 degree reviews. Give employees a forum to review and evaluate senior management. Don't assume that Division Presidents don't need help developing their leadership skills.
