Former Employee – worked at Torrid

Pros – - Customer base is (mostly) great

- Cute clothes

- You get to dress in your own parameters, as long as they are on par with company standards/expectations

- Tattoos and piercings are fine

- Some really great people in corporate

Cons – - Inadequate communication between all levels

- Company often cannot make up their minds when it comes to merchandising

- A former policy of employees and customers getting the same respectful treatment has vanished

- Store policies broken often

- Overall lack of competence in upper management, with corporate turnover happening more often than it should

Advice to Senior Management – Your abilities to effectively manage your company are lacking. There is no respect in the hierarchy, and it has shown from day one of Torrid's inception. As someone who witnessed the company's start-up and also the company's workings in today's world, I truly believe practices are seriously flawed.
