It strives to be a fun workplace, but changes that Corporate has instilled upon us w/in the last year, makes it lame.

I worked at Tourneau

Pros

Flexible schedule, customers, location, friendly staff,

Cons

Pettiness, new corporate structure doesn't fit well in the retail world, seems like the rich get richer (corporate) and the Sales Associates get their head on the chopping block for minor issues. Corporate has found ways to tie MORE to a bonus, raise the goals and make it impossible to earn a fair salary

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees once in a while. It's the usually the smallest things that make them happy. It's worth submitting to their "unreal" requests (on occasion) if THAT'S what makes them want to come to work every day. Management doesn't have to be a "cookie cutter" style. Real management comes from knowing and trusting that, when you're not there, your employees know what to do. A true leader can lead even when he's/she's not present. Being a friend goes a lot further than dictating orders.

I have been working at Tourneau

    Pros

Having been in the industry, I can see Tourneau becoming mature and trying to become a true luxury retailer. The old ways of the industry are falling by the way side, which is a great thing. The new concept store is beautiful. Some good managers who care about the people that work for them.

    Cons

A lot of change and some are not embracing it. Can be difficult to maneuver through them. Benefits are too expensive. If you do not have a spouse who can cover you, it can be tough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on the benefits. Share more communication about the positive things going on.

    No opinion of CEO
