wonderful students great staff very nice environment good treatment friendly people elevator is a plus i like my experience think its cool.

i like the place not many cons just a few teacher need to be on time and know their schedule

management is great keep up the good work good idea comes great success not much of advise just a good thing to keep in mind.

    Pros

    Most colleagues are talented and supportive of your efforts. Immediate supervisors can be very supportive, though feedback is not formal. Some flexibility allowed in scheduling. Eager students. Multiple locations makes it possible to commute, though nearby campus is not guaranteed.

    Cons

    No formal performance review. Incomplete faculty handbook, so basic contact and resource information must be gathered by word of mouth. Payroll decisions and schedule are not documented and must be requested. Some faculty have contracts, others don't. Salaries are not in writing. No increases over seven years. No seniority. No opportunity for raises or advancement. Administrative departments are territorial and decisions are made behind closed doors. Each campus is run separately, and differently, with different policies and expectations. Students are not advised, resulting in mis-registration, poor enrollment, classes canceled at the last minute.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide orientation to new faculty. Provide the same faculty handbook for all instructors, with contact information for administrative offices, including payroll and registrar, plus faculty senate representative, campus directors, labs and libraries. Openly describe procedures to achieve seniority, tenure or raise. Schedule regular performance reviews, describe evaluation guidelines and appeals process. Provide consistent and correct advisement to students. Require that prerequisites be met prior to registration and follow the program scheduling and achievement guidelines.

    Dep't Chair is Accommodating and Fair

    Salary is exceptionally low
    Students are unmotivated, low achieving

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Set higher standards for students
    Audit grades of faculty more often and crack down on rampant grade inflation of some instructors
