Pros

Some nice people who are knowledgeable in their domain, somewhat flexible about work hours and location

Cons

Software development at TW is terrible. No process whatsoever. It is severely saddled with major bugs, and management is only focused on selling more of it rather than fixing any of the problems. Don't take a software job with TW, the products are so bad they're not sustainable. Upper management is a bunch of east coast morons who figured they could buy a few utterly lousy pieces of software and somehow the dump trucks full of money would just magically appear. The most dysfunctional software shop I have ever seen.

Advice to Management

Go back to being bean counter actuaries, hopefully you were better at that. Sell off your software because you clearly do not know what you're doing at all.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - Global footprint / brand name - Because it is a large company, a lot of resources / info are readily available

    Cons

    - Not enough "return" for hard work (long hours and tedious work for no recognition / poor pay / no career development opportunities) - Very hard to deal with office politics (no chance to give upward feedback, but lots of "feedback" given downwards) - High turnover; many bright/hardworking people leaving the company because they can't see a viable future

    Advice to Management

    - Perhaps it's time to be critical and find out why turnover is high instead of giving the "easy" excuse ("they weren't the right fit"). There are many ambitious people out there who would probably stay if they knew their jobs could lead somewhere.

  2. A great place to work; great for those just out of college interested in a global consulting firm.

    Pros

Offers a variety of opportunity in the benefits, risk and financial services and talent management areas.

    Cons

Upward mobility slow and limited, but a great place to get your feet wet and gain experience in a global professional services organization.
