Pros

Many learning opportunity, well structured system that is useful anywhere you go.

Cons

structured too much that employees don't have much input. They say everyone has power to change, but it hardly happens. If it looks like doesn't have benefit to the company (money wise), they shut down the idea. Even the most simple idea has to be filled out in a proper form/format, which is tedious and takes long time.

Advice to Management

Be opened to ideas.

    Pros

May have good job security, offers travel for some positions, a large employment base to network with

    Cons

The company wants all employees to conform to the Japanese way of standardizing everything, especially people. No out of the box thinking is encouraged due to the way people and how they work has been standardized. There are many processes that have yet to be standardized and are losing the company money, but instead they spend their time and effort on controlling how people are organized and how they are allowed to think. Do you really think that the stapler not being in a labeled location will lose the company money? Maybe they need to worry about the processes that are actually losing them money. And once the company became so greedy and started to only care about money, the quality of the product and the work environment went down hill.

    Advice to Management

You preach that one of your main pillars is "respect for people" make sure that you include your team members in that category also and not just the customer who's giving you money
