Pros

Looks good on resume! Learn how to problem solve. You get a decent discount on cars. Get to work on big projects involving lots of cost. Get to see just in time production. Learn how to visual presentations to cater to an international atmosphere. Lots of opportunities to travel with go and see.

Cons

Japanese Mindset. Location and growth are poor. They treat you like robots. They don't want you to anything at work that isnt work related, even if it helps get you though the day. As cost saving inititative haulted all travel and forbid worker from listening to music while at work.

Advice to Management

Let workers have some perks, maybe using MP3 players, we aren't servants.

    Pros

Great experience about the car industry. Many great spiffs for selling alot in a month, great bonuses and great people to work with. Many people come and go but if you stay and make good with management you have a chance to get up, or catch a raise.

    Cons

Very difficult to get time off in the service department, difficult to move up or get a raise. Long hours, sometimes you need to work on Saturdays or holidays. Holidays are not overtime pay. Very high pressure to sell service work, you are questioned about why your performance may be low for the month.

    Advice to Management

Invest money into the business to clean it up.

    Pros

    -Extremely nice and welcoming people
-Willing to help you learn the industry and answer your questions
-Work on everything full-time employees do
-Learned a ton about real world marketing and corporate culture

    Cons

-Not really any, great internship experience! I found out about it pretty late so housing was a bit harder to secure but it wasn't really a con, still found great housing
-Some days there wasn't a ton to do

    Advice to Management

Keep involving interns in all kinds of work, perhaps have some more concrete projects in place for slower days
