Toyota – “Great product and overall company, bad local direction.”

Pros

Toyota makes a great product that you can be proud to sell. They have a lot of ongoing education on Toyota products and have regular hands-on trainings where you learn a lot about new products and features. There were many trips to LA to test-drive new vehicles and a requirement to complete numerous online training classes that were very well written and provided a lot of information.

Cons

Toyota doesn't have much mark-up so the pay isn't fantastic. The management and environment at the dealership was horrible. You can't trust anyone to help you or be on your side. The managers and owner are no exception. The company itself is good, but locally it is horrible.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior Management needs to lead by supporting staff, not by creating fear.
