I worked at Toys ''R'' Us full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Room for growth if you work hard

Cons

Too many tasks for too few team members actually working.

Advice to Management

LISTEN to your FIELD team members. They are in the REAL world. Wayne folks need to get their head out of the sand. We can't have GSATS of 70 percent when we have to CUT hours to meet payroll, there's no one in the store to actually HELP guests. Dunkin Donuts has more team members per square foot.

I worked at Toys ''R'' Us part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - flexible hours - friendly management for the most part

    Cons

    - HR was a nightmare

    Advice to Management

Just because someone is more on the introverted side doesn't mean they're not good at their job.

I have been working at Toys ''R'' Us part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For a lowly retail job, lot of room to move up if you actually know what you're doing.

    Cons

Customers do not care about anything that doesn't mean you have the toy their little kids want.

    Advice to Management

There's not a lot of information given about products, but you are expected to have this knowledge. The current "training" offered is a JOKE. It's about selling in general, and very rarely actually tells you product details. I KNOW what this stroller can do, but what I don't know is what car seats actually fit in it. This sort of thing would make for SOOOO many happy customers.
