    Pros

Flexible schedule, friendly and helpful coworkers.

    Cons

Terrible managers, awful (limited) training, low pay and hardly room for advancement. Hard to stand out and difficult to have a passion for the job when most managers don't know how to motivate employees, all they care about is sales of warranties and memberships. Most training and product knowledge you'll have to learn by yourself as you go along,

    Advice to Management

Take time to choose the right managers and to train them properly. No one wants to work in a place where no matter how hard you work, most managers point out flaws repeatedly in front of other employees and guests and compare two employees by glorifying one and humiliating the other while out in public. A manager's job isn't to only point out your mistakes, but to motivate you to do so much better and learn from them.

    Pros

The more you can perform, the more you'll get paid, which seems fair on the surface.

    Cons

With getting paid more, it comes with strenuous work loads. Someone calls out, you very well may be doing their job and yours. Minimization of staff, due to payroll, which seems to be a problem at most Toys R Us branches. Employees aren't properly trained to work in areas of the store that produce the most sales. No is trained to show customers how strollers and car seats function, putting employees in a tough spot, and leaving the customer frustrated. Cashiers working around the store's electronics mostly only know how to ring up purchases, and half the time, not knowledgeable about the actual products in the area.

    Advice to Management

Help out on one of the multiple tasks employees are forced to do.
