Pros

Great relationships with people there. Great rewards for success

Cons

You have to continue to perform. An A type personality is good to have here and it is a very political climate

Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR should be more proactive in listening to employee needs.

I have been working at Tractor Supply full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are a white, man who cares about nothing but money, then you will do very well here. Also, the company is doing very well and continues to stay in the black without laying anyone off.

    Cons

Glass ceiling for women, I can count the number of minorities (non-whites) employed at the main office on two hands, and is an old white man's club. If you aren't "one of them" you will not advance very far, despite hard work and performance. Feels like working in George Orwell's 1984. Liberals, gays, blacks, women, people with health problems or disabilities.....RUN.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Healthy work/life balance does not mean working 60 plus hours a week, nights, weekends and holidays for "advancement opportunities" that never happen.
