Tractor Supply Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at Tractor Supply full-time for less than a year

Pros – Wide variety of products, fun coworkers, flexible schedule, closes earlier than many retailers, unique culture and customer base.

Cons – Upper management is useless and doesn't care about individual store needs, always out of stock on what we need and have too much of things we never sell, communication is nearly nonexistent, warehouse ships inventory far too early or in ridiculous excess, payroll is always declining regardless of how well the store is doing, management is overworked and expected to fill in gaps due to budget cuts, training is minimal and leaves you feeling unequipped for your job.

Advice to Senior Management – Use technology to your benefit! Find trends in customer spending and products and use that information to adjust your budget and expenses, instead of cutting hardworking employees' hours/pay and overworking management. NO ONE at these stores feel like they're being paid in accordance with their work level.
