Pros

Great products (for the most part) and customers who really appreciate your help and advice on products. Easy to feel good about what you're selling. It's possible to get into management (which most crew members think is a crazy idea).

Cons

Five days a week can be wearing. Management members often spread gossip amongst themselves about crew members, even if it's hearsay (and often not true). Management positions are grueling.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Run personality testing on management candidates for maturity and emotional balance.

    I worked at Trader Joe's

    Pros

The people that tend to work there are all really great, interesting, creative people. Also, the customers are loyal, and you get to know them.

    Cons

The shifts are long and some tasks are tedious. The overnight shifts can be mind numbing and monotonous. But overall it's a pretty great place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some of them aren't necessarily the most qualified managers, and should be more inclined to taking advice and growing as leaders.
