Trane – “Trane is a good place for employment”

Pros

Compensation abilities, freedom in sales environment. Smart engineers to work with and work for. Good support from the main Trane headquarters. I felt that mistakes were forgiven and part of the job, and freedom as an entrepreneur was great. I would have like to have a more team environment if possible as I felt as a team, we could have accomplished much more.

Cons

Dog eat dog sales attitude between sales engineers, limited growth opportunities, leadership does not promote change but rather maintaining the status quo. It was not clearly defined what was deductable or not deductable and building relationships, a lot of money came from my own pocket.

Advice to Senior Management

Listen to sales engineers and engage in growth feedback, especially for new engineers. Jumping out as an independent contractor with little guidance is a tough job.
