I have been working at TransCore full-time

Pros

Excellent people and interesting business lines. Many long term employees. Good rapport with individuals across the country makes it pleasant to work at TransCore.

Cons

As with many companies, the processes and organization could be better defined. There seems to be a lack of consistency across some of the basic business administration sides, but it seems to be progressing to a more uniform approach. If you are looking for a military or government style with documented structure, TransCore is probably not for you. But if you are ambitious and a self-starter, you will like it.

    I have been working at TransCore

    Pros

    Coworkers are great. Lots of comrodery. Laid back office environment. Never work more than 40 hrs per week nor is it expected for you to take your work home with you.

    Cons

    Very little room for advancement. Never any pay raises. Upper level management does not provide opportunities to grow. In fact, they seem to inhibit growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Motivate employees with the prospect of advancement. When employees feel there is nothing to work towards (bonuses, pay raise, promotion, etc) there is very little motivation to work hard.
