    Pros

Pay and commissions. It pays the bills. The products are good and very sellable. The transistion from Monumental to Transamerica will be a positive change.I think the company is going in the right direction at this time.

    Cons

Moody Sales Managers that don't help out.Very High turnover.13 out of 19 sales agents are new at under a year in the job.Wasting gas chasing down the collectible business at $4.00 a gallon and 25% of pay. This is all stemming from when Monumental was at the helm going into Transamerica.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more supportative Sales Managers.Need to look into the reasons for very high turnover.

    Pros

Corporate Tax has a culture of accountability. Therefore things run very smoothly. Everyone helps everyone. There are core beliefs which everyone in the department abides by. Corporate tax is one of the best if not the best departments/divisions to work for at Transamerica. The senior management team appreciates the hard work that is put in throughout the year and recognizes it as well.

    Cons

The work life balance leaves a lot to be desired. Corporate tax is not very far from public accounting. The one exception is that there is no end date here. Public accounting has April 15th to look forward to. At Transamerica it is one large project after another.
