Pros

there are some nice people here.

Cons

Would think twice about coming here unless you want to get your feet wet. And if you think "it can't be worse than where you are now" think twice. Poor communication, extremely disorganized company run by operations which does not know what it is doing. Amazing that a company so large is so technologically backwards and inefficient. Workloads with little support and tremendous inefficiencies cause people with talent to finally lose spirit. That is unless you happen to have a good manager which is very rare here.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wow, this would be a discertation.. Stop gettng your reports and silly data off the sweat of underwriters backs and create systems that are efficient once and for all - stop creating bandaids. And whoever gave operations all the power over underwriting is an idiot. All it has done is create opposing camps as operations creates more workflows and lets support staff do less and less and underwriters more and more. Let us do our jobs which is what were hired for.

Execution of programs and strategies as it trickles down to the mid senior level can be inconsistent.

    Pros

Great ideas from very bright people who work hard to keep the company ahead of its competition.

    Cons

Changes occur quickly, like trying to turn a battle ship around when it is going full speed. Biased with double standards. Mid senior level managers who are in "favor" are not held accountable. Double standards on many levels. Can be biased towards older workers. Not enough minorities on the executive level. Diversity education still needs a lot of work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

With all of the previous mergers, there are a great deal of different cultures that still exist. Execution of plans and strategies are handled poorly be some senior, mid senior and middle managers. How people are held accountable is handled very inconsistently. Keep a close eye on morale...it is poor.
