    Pros

good pay. good benefits. paid time off is nice with available purchase of up to 5 more days.

    Cons

closed minded leadership. weak collaborative efforts for progress. very dismissive to change. antiquated ideology. verbally abusive and cocky managers were allowed to continue growing within the company in the field offices vs. the home office. the company is basically run out of hartford and st. paul. the field offices have their own cultures based on geography. this can either be good or bad. culturally...be prepared to be a cog in the wheel. just be good at what youre asked an nothing more. otherwise you'll be encroaching on your bosses territory and b/c all the roles are so small potentially into her bosses as well. Travelers conducts business with the ant colony mentality. your made to fit this role and thats it. creativity is not allowed. work here at your own risk. Undw's beware as well. technology investments continue to grow within the company to begin replacing the need for so much overhead in salary expenses for big $$$$ underwriters. Soon the select model will overtake all business units....gotta love Jay. I continue to buy stock b/c i believe in what the company is doing for the future...but beware your own course here.
