Travelers Companies – “Experiences at Travelers”

Pros

Travelers was a large company, good benefits, forseeable promotion schedule. The housing assistance was well received, as well as cash assistance in reference to housing - enough to get you on your feet.

Cons

I didn't like the fact that there was absolutely no communication between anyone - I was absolutely left alone, and with no guidance, I had no idea what my managment was thinking; about me, my performance, and their ultimate goal. It was as if I had to triple guess their motivations; and therefore it was impossible for me to "do a good job" by taking initiative.

Advice to Senior Management

Do not alienate members of the workforce. I am not talking about my former immediate manager, many people have problems of that sort. It was the entire ALDP structure, how it was clandestine and needlessly secretive it was; even the upper management was secretive.
