    Pros

Supported work/life balance Salaries close to industry average

    Cons

Little chance for professional growth within organization Poor leadership from senior supervisors; they supported personnel in main office, but no support to any satellite offices

    Advice to Management

Most of the support by senior personnel were to people working directly for them, and not to the majority of employees who are in the satellite offices. The middle management were overworked, and appeared not to have much support from above

    Pros

This company provides access to different training and educational opportunities for its employees. It covers a large service area, offering several locations and offices to work from. Health insurance coverage is good, and there is a reasonable amount of paid time off offered. Company provides more than adequate compensation for personal vehicle use. On the job training is above average.

    Cons

There is limited opportunity for advancement in each office. Salaries are comparatively low in the industry, and workload is increased without adding additional staff or compensation. Managers and supervisors offer limited or no mentorship to employees. Management is uninterested in promoting team building and partnerships between employees.

    Advice to Management

Encourage managers and supervisors to address issues between employees and attempt mediation and problem solving. Include employees in decision-making that affects job expectations and descriptions. Offer an employee mentorship program to positively affect technical job knowledge and performance. Recognize and reward exceptional employee work.
