Former Employee - IT Contact in San Leandro, CA

I worked at TriNet Group as a contractor (more than a year)

Pros

There was a dramatic change of leadership whilst I was there - much of it quite hard to understand. I hope the leader know what they are doing...

Cons

Morale is quite low - a lot of good people have left and the exodus must stop.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retain your best people, be careful letting new people clean house on a whim...

    Pros

High growth due to nature client base expanding and many acquisitions
    Plenty of jobs and opportunity
Company has tried to improve salary base for new hires to be competitive with top talent

    Cons

Many new executives who are not experienced in the industry come in and have grand visions that cannot be executed. Highly stressful demands are made on existing staff to meet dates and deadlines which are unrealistic. While they ask for feedback, they don't want to hear anything contradictory to what they want to do.

There is a focused effort to acquire many companies quickly to get to a certain client size. Integration plans have yet to be successful, causing strain and significant stress on existing employees (also client satisfaction).

There are multiple re-orgs resulting in a highly political environment and lack of trust internally.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lose the ego and listen to employees who know the industry and have experienced failed attempts to what you are trying to do, given you don't yet have the experience yourself. History is repeating itself; clients and employees are leaving to join the competition.
