I worked at TriQuint full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Excellent work life balance in general. People are amicable and professional. Salary is decent.

Cons – Highly inexperienced in high volume manufacturing. Planning is arbitrary and short sighted. The company moves between fasting and feasting rather than take a long term approach. Too many old timers who have grown with the company and have not seen the outside world. These people become a barrier to the new challenges and resist changes that would take them in the right direction. Managers and executives talk big and do little when it comes to execution or following the principles themselves. The system has become top heavy. Equipment engineering group is archaic.

Advice to Senior Management – Refine the middle management system and inject blood from outside where experienced veterans are available.
