I have been working at TriZetto full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Pays fairly well.
Lots of opportunity to move around and try different things.

Cons

Disorganized.
Little regard for personal time.
Leadership is questionable in some consulting areas.
Product Mangement and Development organizations don't work with the people in the field to gain insight into ow their applications really work.

Advice to Management

Focus on software improvement, especially defect reduction. Design software that implements easier and faster b/c will reduce time/money expended in projects and increase customer satisfaction.

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Great technical teams for the most part. Genuinely good people. Competitive product and exciting field to work in.

    Cons

TriZetto, along with thousands of other US companies, fell for the false promise of increasing their profit by outsourcing. There are a few outstanding contractors that are not US-based, but the vast majority range from mediocre to completely useless. The good news is, if you are an IT professional working in the United States, you can easily get a good job if you have any degree of skill whatsoever. I see a lot of whining and complaining on this site about, "cliques," and, "good old boys." Welcome to the business world! If it were all fun and games they'd be paying you to "work" there.

    Advice to Management

Pay for the best talent. Don't allow your upper management to hand down senseless edicts that they don't understand. Let your technical people do their jobs and bring you, kicking and screaming, into the twenty-first century. And, I can't stress this one enough, stop making promises to your customers that cost you more to keep than you're charging them!

    Pros

Great marketshare and comprehensive product offerings.
Passionate employees and desire to improve the status quo.
Not afraid to make adjustments to organization structure / leadership to keep things moving in the right direction.

    Cons

Too many competing priorities getting in the way of productivity. Many employees have too much on their plates to stay focused through completion on initiatives. While it is encouraging for senior management to undergo reorganization, also seems that changes aren't given an opportunity to sink in before shuffling the deck again.

    Advice to Management

Refocus, rather than reorg. plenty of people ready to roll their sleeves up if set in the right direction.
