I worked at Triad Retail Media full-time (More than a year)

Pros

They offer competitive salary, benefits not so much

Cons

Be prepared to work after hours if you are on salary, management style is horrible - A Weberian dictatorship, CEO does not follow through on promises, everyone is expendable! No culture whatsoever at this company, except it is dog eat dog, brown nose camp.

Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect.

    Pros

Good learning experience, opportunity to work on big accounts, meet great people, helpful resources to support sales

    Cons

Production team is insanely process driven causing conflicts internally, company is always restructuring, commissions are lower than the market value, management is disconnected from those who work remotely.

    Advice to Management

Motivate and encourage your team. There may be a difference in effort and sales.

The bottom line is the bottom line. YOU are not special

I worked at Triad Retail Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Possibly a good place to get some design shop or project manager experience. Can be laid back and fun. Big clients, yes but with caveats. Very attractive people, yes but with caveats. If you are a web designer who can't write but the most basic HTML and think Flash is somehow relevant, this joint is for you.

    Cons

"We're flying the airplane as we're building it." If you hear a business using this as a bragging point, check your 'chute and bail. Big clients. Ok. But if you work on the 'Main One' your life will be a living nightmare while those on the lesser clients enjoy a much lighter workload, less stress and much greater recognition. And no. You do not advance by achieving. You rise to the top by making petty alignments and suckin up to the right people. Interdepartmental squabbles, and backdoor HR complaints are the norm. If you can hide from the interpersonal dramas, good on you. But if you just want to do your work and make a living and not get involved in all this, you have a target on your back. And you will get that call to HR when you least suspect it and they will have records of every trumped up half truth allegation and you thought you were under the radar! NO ONE is under the radar. No one is special. Not even YOU. And chaos rules the day. You are supposed to have things done yesterday on an infrastructure fraught with tools that only manage to bog down simple processes. Instead of tightening down anything existing, they go off on new business ventures that are doomed in time from lack of preparation. And heads will roll each and every time they hit a speed bump. And those faces smiling at you during the day are twisting the knife in your back by night. You can have a near perfect employee review and be bounced the next day. Again. Not on performance. At Triad, it's personal, not business. To add insult to injury, there are a handful of principal owners. Two of them are truly reprehensible human beings. This is a fact, not an embittered opinion. and you are just a resource. I don't care how much loyalty you have shown by sacrificing chunks of your life to meet ridiculous deadlines. YOU are not special.

    Advice to Management

Look out for your good talented people especially on the shop room floor. Stop doing everything so randomly. Really work on locking down what you do well for the client. And stop letting sales make outlandish promises that cannot possibly be delivered. And get control of your egomaniac department heads. If you feel like you want to give someone a promotion, DON'T, rethink it and I guarantee there are half a dozen better choices.
