Pros

Senior Managers are innovative, try to treat people well with the resources they have.

Cons

Low pay for the market and with recent recession, they opted to protect existing jobs (good thing), but freeze the already ridiculously low pay.

Advice to Management

The CIO and his management is very smart, talented and creative. Can you figure out a way to reward your people so that they don't need to carry a side job in order to keep up financially? Can you find a way to truly bring salaries in line with the market.

    Pros

Coworkers, certain discounts at offered at local businesses in the area if you're an employee here.

    Cons

VERY long hours, forced to work overtime, many broken promises, no incentives, raises are rare. Management is very political.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees! Don't just "hear" them and say "I get it". You need to take into consideration some of the ideas and suggestions that your employees present to you.
