I worked at TruGreen full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great advancement opportunities for the right individual. Great place to start career and learn. Great branch management staffs.

Cons

As a management you will work a lot of hours. 12 hour days and 6 days per week. Limited vacation time, no sick or personal days, very little flexibility.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find the right balance to work associates and managers hard, but not burn them out. It shows a lot in performance later in the season.

I have been working at TruGreen full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

All the employees go through a background and drug test. I love the ability to advance at Trugreen, where as some companies take 5-10 years to go through management, here you get twice a year to try and advance yourself. health benefits

    Cons

The hours are late, there are no bonuses for employees under management, and you have to work the day after holidays

I worked at TruGreen full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Working year is seasonal, nice to have winters off

    Cons

Mandatory weekends, late nights, work 6 days a week with no insentives for office or clerical staff, laid off with no prior warning

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

a 3% raise a year for employees dealing with upset customers or new customers is not the way to keep the good workers
