I have been working at Truman State University

Pros

Great school to send your children too as well it is a well established information technology facility highly dependent on their student workers

Cons

As a worker there is not many ways to grow within the school. As well it is a very low pay rate for the amount of work

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Competitive pay for the various jobs on campus. Some of them require much higher qualifications and should be rewarded for that

    Pros

it is a small environment in which you personally know your boss and their bosses. employers are easy going to and want you to get the most out of your experience there.

    Cons

unfortunately since it is a publicly funded university, it does not very many opportunities for advancement. BUT if you are looking to gain experience, this is great.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    keep caring about your students!

Flexible office hours, time off is easily had.

    Cons

No recognition for work, the least efficient people get promoted, and the majority of Professors have a high self-worth that is not backed by any actual accomplishment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward initiative, do back-ground checks on your GTRAs, and try to give more generous stipends.
