I have been working at Truven Health Analytics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great pay, plenty of job opportunities to move around the company (not necessarily within same dept.), decent people, various age groups and backgrounds, flex schedule in most departments and ability to work from home if needed.

    Cons

Department rules vary, there is not one standard which affects moral of some teams.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good overall. Some tend to overly micro manage.

I worked at Truven Health Analytics full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good benefits, opportunities to interact with well-educated colleagues.

    Cons

Senior corporate management is tied up with setting up the new company structure. Local upper management struggling to keep the balance sheets looking good. Old fashioned, ineffective management practices continue from the Thomson era. Employees waiting for the shoe to drop with the new owners. Middle management does not value its professional staff employees (e.g., MDs, PharmDs, RNs).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in some fresh talent with 21st century management skills AND an actual understanding of the current US healthcare market. Lose the silo mentality, look for creating new opportunities with your existing assets (people, processes & products).

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
