Pros

Debt free company, somewhat stable and nice people to work with.

Cons

No raises, constant upper management changes, the company does not really care about employees.

Advice to Management

How about a decent lounge area? or at least a new Microwave...

    Pros

I got paid? Really, that's about it.

    Cons

The reviews here aren't exaggerating. This company is awful. It's Walmart's even more incompetent cousin. No one, from the top level down, seems to have any idea how to do their jobs. Corporate likes to jump into hare-brained schemes and new ways of doing things, without completely thinking them through or even having a plan to implement them properly. Store managers are expected to drop everything to complete some vital new project, only to be told two weeks later, "Oh, never mind. We decided that doesn't work after all." Meanwhile you'll be yelled at for getting behind on recovery, freight, etc. You can't win. So you'll spend your time opening boxes, building shelves, trying to cram even more merchandise (that doesn't sell because it's generally cheap, tacky stuff) onto racks that are bursting. And sweep, clean the toilets, tidy up after customers who trash the place like they're at a flea market (but expect to be catered to as though they're at some high end boutique, of course), and manage the daily chaos with only one other employee in the store. And don't go over payroll, of course, or the district manager will jump down your throat. If you're under payroll, they will still want to know why you don't have a completely empty back room and a pristine sales floor. Basically, this company is run by idiots who like to pass the buck, and if you're a store manager, everything will be your fault. Don't work here, ever.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together. Leave your ivory towers and actually listen to the people who run your stores.

  2. Easy, basic questions lasted about 45 minutes
