Start with cutting back on corporate expenses including how the main warehouse does business

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

If you love to shop for housewares, the discount is great. The people are extremely friendly, from management on down.

    Cons

It is filthy. The DM micromanages the manager. No one knows how to merchandise. Taking initiative is not welcome.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers who actually manage, and trust them, instead of those who just follow orders. Hire knowledgeable people. uUse them.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

none that I experienced in my short tenure before I found a real job

    Cons

Where do I start, they buy crap stock the store with it set un realistic goals and harrass their low paid employees for not selling the inferior product they buy. I lived in a 3rd world country and saw the employees treated much more fairly and humanely, horrible horrible place to work and shop

    Advice to Management

Hire qualified people at the corporate level, pay them a competitive salary, hire buyers who are intelligent enough to research and purchase the proper products our customers desire, THEN our sales goal would be more realistic. Once the company went public everything suffered. The CEO came from a failed company and this company is following, all one has to do is track the stock. Any other company would have dumped the CEO with these results.
