Pros

Stable hours, Predictable work, interesting science environment , no sabotages on co-worker's experiments (at least in my lab)

Cons

No salary increase or bonuses, defendant on grant funding, slow and repetitive work.

    Pros

    Interesting work, very intelligent colleagues. Get out of it what you put into it. Engaged student body, makes finding research assistants easy.

    Cons

    Undervalued, but that's the norm across academia. Grant funded environment, not enough resources. Heavy workload prevents much exploration of cross discipline collaboration.
